Went for a walk with the kids this afternoon. Where we went there were lots of butterflies and L3 in particular was enchanted. As we walked, I heard the chirruping sound of crickets. We have had a lovely day out for L3's birthday treat, to West Kirby beach on The Wirral. We did at first get caught in slow bank holiday traffic, and then suffered the trials of bank holiday parking, but eventually made it to the beach and had four hours there; I knitted, the children played, and Tim went off to look at a few things in the area.
